Recently I got an opportunity to photograph this two day multicultural amazing engagement party in San Diego.
First day was Mehndi Celebration, Mehndi also known as henna, is a plant based paste symbolize festive joy and good luck. Indian wedding celebrations have Mehndi/Sangeet ceremony generally held the night before the wedding.It’s a way of wishing the bride good luck as she starts a new journey in life as married woman.
Second day was a party at Corky Mcmillin event center at Liberty Station, San Diego. Their friends and relatives here and from all over India had joined for the celebration. It was a beautiful mix of multiple cultures , colors , music & food ! Sharing few of my favorite shots here.
